Considered to be the entrance to the Mount Washington Valley, Albany is located just south of Conway Village. It is one of the smallest towns within the Mount Washington Valley in Carroll County. Albany uses both the Conway Post Office and zip code.
You'll find many styles of homes from chalets to contemporary designs throughout the town of Albany. One of Albany's many features is a 120-foot covered bridge that spans the beautiful Swift River, which is located just north of the Kancamagus Highway.
Seen from this picturesque town, featuring quaint view homes and vacation homes, are spectacular views of two mountains, Mount Chocorua and Mount Paugus, which are well known and popular hiking spots with spectacular mountain trails, fishing in the Swift River, and scenic drives. Albany borders scenic Route 16 and the Kancamagus Highway and is known for its biggest landowner, the White Mountain National Forest.
